Encounter one of Africa's most graceful cats up close & at our cheetah project, and experience the unforgettable thrill of hands on interaction with these magnificent cats in their newly erected enclosures. Come & meet our three cheetahs, Mikka, a two year old Kalahari male & our two hand reared females Shadow & Savannah, who were born on the Nambiti Private Game Reserve, but unfortunately they were rejected by their mother. These 2 girls were then hand reared by the De Wildt Cheetah Trust & later returned to their place of birth. Now back with us, these cats are out ambassadors for educational encounters. The project's long term goal will be to breed with them so as to reintroduce their offspring back into the African wild to help re-populate the dwindling numbers of these highly endangered species. The Nambiti Game Reserve is situated in the heart of Battlefields country where the Anglo-Zulu and Anglo-Boer wars were fought centuries ago.
