Your day in the African Bush starts when you meet at the lodge for a steaming mug of coffee, freshly baked muffins, and a variety of home made rusks and biscuits.

As your morning game drive departs the Sun peeps its head over the horizon, so settle back and enjoy the sights and sounds of the African Bush. For the next 3 hours your ranger will keep you enthralled as you seek out and discuss the diverse fauna and flora as it awakens before your eyes.

Breakfast is served, on the deck or the verandah depending on the weather. This hearty meal consists of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, hot porridge, freshly baked pastries, muffins and cheese and a full English breakfast to order.

Now its time to relax, take in the magnificent views of the valley below, have a dip in the rim flow pool or simply lie back on the deck or in your beautifully furnished room, with your favourite magazine or book whilst enjoying the tranquility.

A light buffet lunch is served on the deck, verandah or around the pool. Our chef will conjure up something new and exotic to excite your taste buds. Our range of cocktails have also proved to be a hit at lunch times.

Once again the excitement builds; you meet your ranger to select your sundowner drinks whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee, and a slice of cake.

The red African sun drops towards the horizon and your ranger has found the perfect vantage point. You sip on sundowners and savour a wonderful array of snacks discussing the sightings made only minutes before. The sun slips out of sight, the spot lights are out and the time is right to see the big cats moving around on the reserve.

Steaming or cool face cloths await you as your ranger helps you off the game viewer. You can return to your suite to freshen up or make your way to the boma where a roaring fire is blazing in the crisp night air. Pre dinner drinks and snacks are served around the fire and the exciting details of the drive are discussed. Dinner is now served either in the boma, in the lodge (depending on the weather) or a romantic candlelight dinner for two can be arranged in your suite. Our resident chef has had many years of experience in top restaurants and hotels and this is evident when you experience the sublime and subtle flavors of the food.

Sip a nightcap in the boma or on the deck beneath millions of stars as you reflect back on your day. When your bed beckons your ranger will show you back to your suite. Slowly drop off to the call the jackal or the majestic roar of the lions and know another adventure filled day awaits in the morning
